This model demonstrates how a femoral varus deformity causes medial patellar luxation.  It allows you transform the femur via a wedge ostectomy to straighten the bone and reduce the patella.  The model includes a DFO plate to demonstrate fixation.
 
This model does not include other MPL corrections such as trochleoplasty or tibial tuberosity transposition.  Thus, it should be used as a supplement to the standard MPL model for a complete discussion of patellar luxation and DFO.
 
The rear placard reads "Distal Femoral Osteotomy".  The front placard can be customized with your own graphic, or can read "Patella Luxation"
