"Hip Dysplasia": owners know the term but really don't understand the condition.  
 
With this model, an owner will be throwing around words like "laxity", "atrophy" and "subluxation" in no time.  Sure the model works well to talk about hip replacement surgery, but it is also great to describe an FHO, or even just to talk about hip dysplasia in general.  As a result it is  one of our favorite models among rehab clinicians.
